Product Introduction

Hydrogenated Castor Oil (HCO), also known as Castor Wax and identified by CAS 8001-78-3, is a hard, high-melting point vegetable wax produced by the controlled hydrogenation of pure castor oil. Appearing as a white, odorless flake or fine powder, its chemical formula is C57H110O9. Unlike many other waxes, HCO retains the hydroxyl groups from the original ricinoleic acid, which gives it unique polarity and compatibility with various resins and oils. It is prized in the industrial world for its ability to function as a thixotropic agent, lubricant, and release agent.
