Nonstaining Antiozonant NOXCA Vulkazon AFS

Product Introduction

Nonstaining Antiozonant NOXCA, widely recognized as the equivalent to Vulkazon AFS (CAS 6600-31-3), is a specialized chemical additive designed to protect vulcanized rubber from the destructive effects of ozone.

Unlike traditional p-phenylenediamine antiozonants (like 6PPD) which cause severe dark staining, NOXCA is a "non-staining" type. It is formulated specifically for white, light-colored, or transparent rubber products. The chemical mechanism involves the formation of a sacrificial protective film on the rubber surface, preventing the deep cracks that occur when rubber is under stress in ozone-rich environments. It is particularly effective in Chloroprene Rubber (CR), EPDM, and various synthetic elastomer blends.
